For some moms, finding out your birthday girls favorite princess can sometimes be a challenge. For many little girls, their favorite princess changes every day. I have many moms who tell me how they think this is the princess their daughter wants but they aren’t really sure. Without a doubt, they always ask, “Can I change it last minute if she changes her mind?” Sometimes we can change the character but sometimes we cannot. So to help you with this, here are a few ways to keep her attention on the ‘one’ you book.

First, it is best to only ask once. After she gives you an answer, don't ask again. If she thinks she can change it over and over she will. Instead, build that princess up until the big day and the birthday party arrives. Play the movie, the music, and talk about her and the different stories she likes most. It’s important not to ask again after she makes a decision. At this age, they are easily persuaded and will change there minds often if asked over and over again. So once a decision is made, run with it and have fun looking forward to the day together. And remember, if she is very serious about wanting two different princesses, you can always have both come out to the party!
