Princess Parties | Planning the right time

Alright, let me share a princess tip!

Your theme is already set and you’re having a princess party! Picking a date and time are number one. It’s one of the first critical decisions you make for your party. It is best to keep in mind your daughter's age and the age of the children that will be attending. If your little princess still takes a nap, if possible, don’t interrupt that very precious time. You don't want a crabby birthday girl all because she didn't get her beauty sleep. As we all know, every princess needs her beauty sleep especially on the day of the ‘ball’. This is not the day to try and go without it. I could tell you story after story from mom’s who shared their regret with me afterwards. Most of the time, it’s simply because you get busy. Think about all that work just to have a party where the birthday girl wont even take a picture for you. Give a gift to yourself and to her and plan around her nap time. Be intentional about it and you will not regret it.

Here are some great time frames to think about. 11am to 1pm is early but perfect for those who have younger children that still need to have an afternoon nap. It’s easy to have a lunch tea time and have all the girls home by mid day. This simple tip is a reminder if you plan ahead you can work around nap times easily. Here at Fairytale Entertainment, we’ll do our best to accommodate you even if it's late notice and your preferred time slot is taken but it's always best if you can pick the perfect time that’s ideal for you.

Some moms like to have their party from 1-3:30pm. This is great if you would rather avoid serving the children lunch. With this kind of party you only need to provide the children’s entertainment, cake and ice cream and prize bags to take home. This time frame is very popular.
3-5:30 is also a good time frame. This works great for family parties or backyard BBQ’s.
6-8:30 is perfect for the elegant evening events. For those of you who are planing a dinner at a banquet hall with all the makings of a Disney Cinderella ball, the evening event works perfect.

Whatever time frame you choose always remember to give your guest at lest a half hour to arrive before your princess or other characters arrive. You want to insure that all your guest are there and are able to enjoy all the fun that your enchanted party will bring.
