Planning the Right Food for a Disney Princess Party

Hi Moms, I have been thinking about the food I have seen at the many princess parties I’ve attended. Some of you are amazing at creating banquets fit for a queen! Tables graced with spectacular treats and elaborate spreads, they would rival some weddings. But from my experience, the food can be very simple as well. It’s really your preference when it comes to throwing a princess party. The children seem to enjoy both extremes. So here are a few tips on feeding the princesses and princes coming to your next DISNEY PRINCESS PARTY.

Finding her favorite Princess...

For some little girls, finding their favorite disney princess is easy. If you watch long enough, you'll see some of these telltale signs.

  • She has a certain movie that is on the top of her list.
  • She wears the same princess dress over and over.
  • She carries that one princess toy around all the time.

She has made it easy for you because it’s obvious. You don’t even have to ask...you just know. You are confident that she will be over joyed on the day of her party as the princess of her dreams walks thru her own door.

Alright, let me share a princess tip!

Your theme is already set and you’re having a princess party! Picking a date and time are number one. It’s one of the first critical decisions you make for your party. It is best to keep in mind your daughter's age and the age of the children that will be attending. If your little princess still takes a nap, if possible, don’t interrupt that very precious time. You don't want a crabby birthday girl all because she didn't get her beauty sleep. As we all know, every princess needs her beauty sleep especially on the day of the ‘ball’. This is not the day to try and go without it. I could tell you story after story from mom’s who shared their regret with me afterwards. Most of the time, it’s simply because you get busy. Think about all that work just to have a party where the birthday girl wont even take a picture for you. Give a gift to yourself and to her and plan around her nap time. Be intentional about it and you will not regret it.
